Our Story
ASU’s mission is to serve to defy stereotypes, define culture, maintain a sense of tradition, and consider what it is to be Asian American in today’s world. ASU aims to uphold and maintain the cultural and social spaces that Asians and Asian-Americans occupy through community initiatives, showcases, and social and cultural events that empower our student body
ASU was established in 1987 at Binghamton University, NY. Since then, it has become one of the largest cultural groups, representing over 20% of the student body on campus. As the umbrella organization of seven subgroups, ASU hosts new social, cultural, and community events every single week. Currently, ASU boasts a large community of over 200 student leaders and general body members
